ISOPOW is a non-profit scientific society and a Standing Committee of IUFoST. The activities aim at progressing the understanding of the properties of water in food and related biological systems, and the exploitation of this understanding in improved raw materials, products and processes in the food, pharmaceutical or related industries. The first symposium on Water Relations of Foods was held at the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) in September 1974. Subsequently it was held in various countries and now we are excited to announce that the 16th edition will be held in Singapore.

Scope of Topics

The symposium invites research of water from all aspects, either in food science, pharmaceuticals, health or any relevant fields. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following;

  • Scientific Inquiry into H2O into the properties and functionality in food and biological systems
  • Water Intelligence aspects, exploring anomalies, applications, and future of water research
  • The role of H2O in future food & pharma systems of digital age
  • Online probes, modelling, data analysis for water research
  • Any other relevant topics
